The Mayor of Lichfield, Councillor Terry Thomas and the lady Mayoress lit the first lanterns to commemorate the Motor Neurone Disease Association’s 30th anniversary. Organised by the Staffordshire Support Group, the celebration in Market Place was part of a nationwide event that saw lanterns being lit all around the UK at the same time. |

Our last two awareness raising campaigns have both contributed to an increase in awareness of MND. We know how important raising awareness is for many people affected by MND and we are determined to do everything we can to gain awareness of this disease. Both John’s Journey and Sarah’s Story focused on one person’s experience of living with the disease. This has proven to be a really effective way of raising awareness. Therefore we have started planning next year’s campaign that will again focus on one person’s journey with the disease. This is where we really need your help. Do you know someone living with MND who you think may be interested in this opportunity? |
